Russell Russell A Philosopher Bertrand Russell Logician and Philosopher [1872-1970] Of most importance, Russell is the founder of analytic philosophy. Russell studied mathematics at Cambridge, but soon after became entrenched in the study of logic. In response to Bradley's teachings at Cambridge, Russell also developed a new idea called Monadism.
